Elham Sadat of Interfaith Act of Central Texas was our speaker on August 26th. Elham is the Volunteer Coordinator for iACT. She spoke to us about iACT’s missions and programs and how we can volunteer. Per their website, iACT “exists to build healthy relationships between faith communities onf Central Texas.” iACT’s main programs are Hands on Housing, their financial literacy program for Austin youth, a mentoring program for refugee youth and other refugee support programs, and interfaith dialogue.
