Rotarian Tink Hill gave another story about an interesting time in his life. While in law school at UT in the late 1970s, he applied as security guard at the New Manor apartment complex to get free housing. This apartment complex was the only clothing-optional apartment complex in Austin. Tink later became the property manager and enforced rental payments and took on maintenance jobs. He hired other veterans as security guards. He had many stories to tell about the businesses and tenants and the goings on at the complex. Some tenants were nudists, and some were not. Tink slowly evicted the trouble- makers, so that the place became a continuous party, but a pleasant place to live. After the complex was sold, it was no longer a clothing-optional place to live.
