Summer Pavliska of Pawliska Animal Rescue and Reunite was our speaker on October 29. Her organization does street dog rescues and then tries to find the dogs foster and then adoptable homes. They make sure to vet the new homes and ask for references so that the dogs are not returned to the streets. They have the dogs that are adopted spayed and neutered. She has rescues all over central Texas and survives on donations and volunteers. 85 dogs a year have been rescued. She advertises for permanent homes and does adoption events. She also helps reunite people with their lost dogs by helping track them down. She is working on setting up a 501(c)(3) for her organization and is looking for groups like our club to partner with in the community.
