November 2 - League of Women Voters

Grace Chimene and Cinde Weatherby from the League of Women Voters spoke to the club on November 2. The League of Women Voters has been in Texas for 96 years and provides information about upcoming elections. Before each election, the League puts out a voters' guide. Ms. Chimene and Ms. Weatherby provided us with the pros and cons for the seven constitutional amendments on the ballot on November 3 and the bond election for a new civil courthouse in Travis County. They also provided information regarding what IDs are needed to vote, as the Texas voter ID case is still in the court system.
