2024-25 Club President Karen Bogisch spoke to the club about her plans for the upcoming Rotary year. She first showed a video of RI President Stephanie Urchick announcing her theme: The Magic of Rotary. Karen then tied that theme to what makes our club magical – our members, our diversity and our projects. She spoke of making our club even more magical by having everyone join a committee, propose a program or project or assist with a club meeting and/or the club fundraiser. Karen then outlined her goals for the upcoming Rotary year, including increasing membership, conducting programs where we learn about Rotary and our members, having club social events where we can get to know each other even better, having at least one hands on service project each quarter of the year, continuing to donate to the Rotary Foundation, Polio Plus and local charities, supporting Early Act First Knight and RYLA, and providing more scholarships for graduation high school students. Karen wrapped up her presentation by reminding us of the various committees that we can all join to help make 2024-25 a magical year for Austin NxNE Rotary!
