Wing Hill charmed all with a presentation on Great Troop 8, emphasizing how the experiences of Scouting, from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout, enriched her son's life with a unique education through a wide variety of experiences, adventures and leadership positions and service opportunities. (Isn't that what we all want for our young?) Wing also showed a brief slide show of some of the Troops outings and service. The Great Troop 8 has twelve members currently. Three boys are getting the Eagle award and five more are working towards it.
Wing also talked about coming here herself from the Philippines many years ago. She said everything she knew about Americans was from the movies, they see them all. She was even scared when American ministries would come to her door because she saw too many Rambo movies!! In an interesting Q&A period, Wing shared her view on recent events in the Philippines under the current President, Rodrigo Duterte.
Frank and Tracey looked up the pricing for Boy scout annual popcorn sale and many people purchased what Michael had brought with him to the meeting.
