September 29 Speaker - District Governor Hanspeter Tobler

District Governor Hanspeter Tobler spoke to the Rotary Club of Austin, North by Northeast about increasing membership through our youth programs -- Interact, Rotaract and RYLA.  He encouraged the club to sponsor a Rotaract or Interact club locally.  The District Governor also told us that the district raised $633,000 for the Rotary Foundation in the last Rotary year, which was a record.  It was the biggest contribution by a district in the United States.  DG Hanspeter also spoke about increasing Rotary's public image by interacting with the community through service projects that involve non-Rotarian participation.  The District Governor was joined by his wife, Marla, District Governor Nominee Bruce Golden, and Assistant Governor Christine Kempff.
