Dawn Lewis serves as the Executive Director of the TerraClear Foundation, where she works to secure funding and forge connections to support Lao families in accessing clean drinking water. Dawn told us about the Foundation's program that subsidizes the cost of TerraClear filters—locally made in Laos and priced at $45 each. The Foundation seeks funding to subsidize $40 per filter, leaving a nominal $5 for recipient families to pay to ensure ownership and self determination. Due to the challenging terrain in rural Laos, where roads are often inaccessible by truck, these filters are primarily delivered by motorbike and are serviced by TerraClear.  Dawn told us stories of the lives changed by having access to clean water through these filters.  One of the recipients of a filter even shares his water with his neighbors.  For more information go to www.terraclearfoundation.org.
