Oct 19 - Monique Hodges - Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary
Our speaker on October 19 is Monique Hodges, who is the current President of the Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary Club and also serves on the board of Austin based non-profit, Moja Tu. Originally from Corpus Christi, she moved to Austin in 2006 after working in California for a few years. She is currently the Sr. Carrier Programs Manager at All Web Leads. She has a BBA in Marketing from The University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio and a MBA from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. In her free time, she enjoys training for her next half marathon, traveling and volunteering in the Austin community with her Rotary club. Austin Cosmopolitan and RC of Naivasha (Kenya) will be continuing their successful work in Kenya in 2016. This is the second Global Grant
project for ACRC. With a budget of $120k and a partnership with The Nobelity Project, the "Sanitation Project for Kenyan Schools" will serve 7-8 Primary schools in Kenya and address one of their most crucial needs - a clean toilet. This need seems so basic to our way of life threaten the educational attainment of thousands of students in Kenya.
