Meredith Bossin gave us an overview of the Waller Creek project, which is from 15th street to Lady Bird Lake.  The conservancy was created in 2010 to help develop an interconnected chain of parks - mile and 1/2 along creek;35 acres of restored and improved public open space.  The improved Waterloo Park is opening in 2020 as phase 1.  The second phase is at southern end on the delta  where they will be adding pedestrian bridges and trails.  They are working on ecological restoration of creek along trail system.  The Conservancy will be working with Travis County, which owns Palm School to coordinate development of Palm Park.  They are also working on community engagement and collecting stories of history of Waller Creek.  Meredith told us about current programs and future ideas.  For more information go to wallercreek.org.
