Rotarian Jeff Molby, who is from Michigan, is on a two-year bike tour around the US to promote volunteering to drive patients to and from cancer appointments.  He first talked about how volunteering to fulfill this need fits Rotary’s 4-way test.  The Road to Recovery program through the American Cancer Society needs drivers everywhere.  Jeff told us stories about cancer patients and how they helped him learn all that goes into a cancer fight and what the American Cancer Society does. He told his family story and what led him to start the bike tour around the country and what he learned along the way.  To become a volunteer driver there is a link on his ChemoRiders.org webpage or you can sign up through the American Cancer Society.   There is an Awareness problem about this issue - people don’t know about the program - both patients and potential drivers. He encouraged us to get the word out! His mother started driving after seeing what he was doing. A drive can help a patient stay on schedule with their treatments and save lives.
