On 14th March, Erland Schultz shared the inspirational story of Hope House, which provides long term care for mentally and physically disabled.  It is a forever home for 34 individuals, who are all treated liked family. Hope House began in 1967, and now has three homes in the Liberty Hill area.  Hope House still provides a home for 16 of the original children.  Hope House’s residents need 24/7 care by staff, some of whom have been there over 25 years. The staff takes residents on activities in the area and volunteers help with the kids and help with the garden.  It’s one only few homes like this in the state of Texas. Because of that there is a long waiting list.  For more information go to www.hopehouseaustin.org.
