Cathey Painter is the National President of the Delta Zeta Sorority. The sorority partners with Starkey Hearing Foundation to give the gift of hearing to people all over the world. In total, they have helped 1.5 million people hear. The Foundation has also set up hearing institutes in a number of countries that teach how to diagnosis hearing loss and help with hearing aids provided to patients. They are trained and send back to their home countries. Delta Zeta has helped fund the institutes including building a Delta Zeta house for the students to use on their free time at the institute in Africa. Delta Zeta and the Starkey Hearing Foundation have been partners since 2006 and the sorority has provided over $7 million in support of this cause. Sorority members also travel to hearing missions around world. Cathey showed videos of how people have been helped around the world. One mission trip can serve up to 600 people in one day. What a great cause that Delta Zeta has aligned itself with. And wouldn’t Cathey make a great Rotarian!!
