Serita Lacasse, the Executive Director of Senior Access, was our speaker on July 12th. She also brought along Marilyn Diaz. Senior Access helps senior citizens in Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, Manor, and East Austin with their transportation needs so that they can stay in their own homes. Volunteer drivers take clients to doctor appointments and treatments, the pharmacy, grocery shopping, banks, church, and other activities. Besides helping with transportation needs, Senior Access has a lending closet, which lends equipment that may be needed on a temporary basis after surgery or a fall. They also have volunteers that help with household services and repairs.
