Laura Pinto and Taylor Loxtercamp from Frost Wealth Advisors spoke to us about "Building a Legacy."  Laura is an Executive Vice President and wealth advisor for Frost Wealth Advisors and Taylor is a Mineral Manager for Frost, both here in Austin.  Laura shared the philosophy of Frost Bank, which is to build long term relationships. Times change, but values don’t!  She said that they spend time with their clients to determine their goals, plans and life, something she recommends that each of us do with our own financial advisors.  You should review your estate plans every few years and make sure it still works for you and your family.  Also, think about sharing your plans with your family and look at the family governance if significant assets will be passed along to the next generation.  A family has human capital, intellectual capital, social capital, spiritual capital and financial capital and Laura described each of those.  Following Laura's discussion, Taylor gave us an overview of how Frost manages the mineral assets of its clients.  He showed us numbers regarding the minerals Frost manages - $550 million in annual revenue over the USA. Taylor also gave us an overview of minerals in Texas including the fact that are 19,000 mineral owners in Austin alone.   He followed up by showing an example of one of the assets Frost manages for a client and what activities they handle with regards to such assets, including leasing and monitoring payments. What an interesting and informative discussion!
